Then pick what you need from a list: servicing, brakes, a battery, a diagnostic, a pre-purchase inspection, or describe something else in your own words. Add your postcode so garages near you can find it. No account needed to get this far; you create one at the end so we can show you your quotes.
Your job appears to garages on Mychanic. Each garage decides for itself whether to quote, and what to charge, based on the car and the work you described.
Every quote is a real figure from a named garage. You can open the garage’s profile — their photo, specialties, qualifications and reviews from other Mychanic customers — before deciding anything.
Compare the quotes side by side on your My jobs page and accept the one that suits you. The other quotes are closed off, and the garage you chose is told.
The garage then arranges a date with you and you’ll see it on your My jobs page. Payment is between you and the garage — Mychanic doesn’t take card details or process payments. Afterwards, you can leave a star rating and a short review for the next customer.
