Why I started Mychanic

What Mychanic is

A place to describe a car repair once and get quotes from independent garages, each with a name, a profile and reviews attached. You compare, you choose, and you deal with the garage directly from there. We don’t do the work and we don’t take payment — we just get you a price you can trust before you commit.

What Mychanic isn’t

  • Not a garage. Every quote comes from the garage that will do the job, not from us.
  • Not a price comparison of made-up numbers. If a garage hasn’t quoted, there’s no figure.
  • Not a payment processor — yet. You settle up with the garage.
